With a glass of champagne, Kotetsu and Barnaby celebrate the end of a year-long abstinence from each other’s presence.
Wishful thinking- the concept. Team work with tsuntsan who bravely juggled the ideas with me☆ Done for fun as a form of defence against murderous anticipation _(:ｪ」∠)_ main assumptions of this design are:
>toned down color palette to match his age
>similarly to Kotetsu Barnaby is also wearing less (presumably Rising takes place during a warmer season?)
>stripes motif matches Kotetsu’s
>keeping it simple because it suits Barnaby best!
>a bit longer, puffier, fluffier and more face-enclosing hair is just my personal preference, bangs are somewhat referenced from this screencap
>buttons are self explanatory but they also make the shirt look like a uniform which I think is pretty cool
>he has to look cool because he’s an idol! so even though the pants are more elegant, loosely tied plain boots make it look less formal

Navy tote dropped carelessly to the floor, expensive leather jacket draped over the back of the couch, boots discarded without thought by the apartment door—for once, cleanliness was not at the forefront of Barnaby’s mind. His muscles ached from that afternoon’s workout which had been preceded by a taxing mission from Agnes.
Too much work, not enough points, he inwardly lamented.
A groan sounded from the hallway as its creator followed Barnaby inside before letting the door slam behind him and bringing his sounds of protest into Barnaby’s otherwise calm living space. Grunts and groans, interrupted by muttered phrases such as “If only you understood this old man’s pain,” or “If your abs are aching half as much as mine,” fell upon tired ears.
“Your whining is making my head hurt on top of everything else, old man.” The reprimand wasn’t meant to sound as harsh as it had. Then again, what came out of Barnaby’s mouth that didn’t sting? Kotetsu had grown used to it, fond of it even, and the harshness was forgotten, the words of no consequence.
“I’m going to start a bath.” Barnaby waved his hand towards the kitchen in a lazy motion, his signal to Kotetsu to take whatever he wanted as long as he didn’t touch the expensive wine—a restriction Kotetsu had discovered the hard way one unfortunate evening. Even that memory was smiled upon with some fondness. Really, there was nothing about Barnaby that Kotetsu could say he disliked, despite the abuse he shouldered on a daily—no, hourly—basis.
“Let me join you, Bunny,” Kotetsu cooed.
Barnaby’s voice trailed off as he disappeared back into his bedroom and the adjoining bathroom. “Do what you like.”
